Christiana Deeter is an instructional designer, science educator and learning strategist who creates learning experiences that help people understand complex ideas and apply them in meaningful ways. Her work brings together learning science, hands-on investigation, thoughtful technology integration and human connection. She designs curriculum, instructional resources, and professional learning experiences that connect ambitious goals with the practical needs of the people using them.

With more than sixteen years in education, Christiana brings extensive experience in science instruction, curriculum development and educator support. As a Science Department Head and Vertical Teaming Coordinator, she initiated and led science curriculum alignment from K3 through grade 12, connecting early observation and exploration with increasingly sophisticated investigation, measurement and analysis. Her leadership has included curriculum review, equipment planning, budgeting, faculty development and ongoing implementation support, helping teachers build a coherent progression of scientific understanding across grade levels.

A Vernier Technology Trendsetter, Christiana uses data-collection technology to help students investigate authentic questions and develop explanations grounded in evidence. Her work includes authoring and adapting laboratory investigations, creating instructional resources and helping educators integrate technology purposefully into their teaching. She approaches content development with attention to scientific accuracy, standards alignment, classroom usability, and the support teachers need to implement new approaches with confidence.

Alongside her work in education, Christiana has spent years developing corporate learning systems and communication training through CBR Strategic Communications. She designs onboarding programs, sales enablement training, AI workflows, and executive communication coaching for professional teams. This work has strengthened her interest in performance-driven learning: experiences that help people make better decisions, communicate effectively, and apply new skills in their daily work.

Christiana holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Furman University and a master’s degree in Instructional Design and Educational Technology from Florida Gulf Coast University. She is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Educational Technology at the University of Florida, with research interests in blended professional learning, skill transfer and technology-supported instructional design. Across educational and organizational settings, she explores how AI and other emerging tools can support effective content development and meaningful learning.

She frequently presents at national conferences, including the National Science Teaching Association’s national conference and the AP Annual Conference, sharing practical strategies for technology-enhanced instruction, AI-supported learning, and partnerships between education and industry. Her presentations draw on classroom practice and program leadership, helping educators translate new ideas into approaches they can use.

Christiana often describes her approach to learning design through one of her favorite hobbies: mosaic tile work. Each piece, whether a concept, a technology tool, or a human interaction, must be placed intentionally. Individually, the pieces may seem small. Together, they create something strong, functional, and unexpectedly beautiful.

A Maine and Florida girl at heart, Christiana finds inspiration in both the warmth of the Gulf Coast and the granite cliffs of Maine’s Atlantic shoreline. She lives with her husband, Zachary, and their two children and enjoys mosaic art, creative design projects, and building environments where curiosity and learning can thrive.
