About Christiana
With over fifteen years of experience in education, Christiana Deeter is a passionate and accomplished science educator dedicated to transforming how students engage with chemistry through innovative curriculum design and technology integration. She currently serves as an AP Chemistry teacher and College Board AP Chemistry Grader, where she brings both deep content expertise and a forward-thinking approach to the classroom. Throughout her career, Christiana has served as Department Head and Vertical Teaming Coordinator, guiding curriculum alignment and fostering collaboration to strengthen science instruction across grade levels. Her commitment to excellence in teaching has earned her recognition as a Voya Unsung Hero Award Recipient and Gold Apple Teacher of Distinction.
Christiana is currently pursuing a Master’s in Curriculum Design and Educational Technology at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU), where she continues to explore how digital tools and emerging technologies can create dynamic, inquiry-driven learning environments. She is a national presenter at conferences such as the National Science Teaching Association (NSTA) and Advanced Placement (AP) Annual Conference, where she shares strategies for leveraging technology to make complex scientific concepts relevant and accessible. Passionate about helping students connect science to their everyday lives, Christiana believes technology offers unparalleled opportunities for curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking in the modern classroom. She lives in Fort Myers, Florida, with her husband, Zachary, and their two wonderful children.
